I'm currently on my gap year, I've been living in Colchester, then Sheffield for the past few months, and now I am going back and forth to Eindhoven, The Netherlands. It will all settle down when I head for Leicester in Autumn to study English Literature.
Me and my friends used to jump on a train and go and see WWRY every couple of months when we were in school, but since I left I haven't seen it once! interesting bit of gossip, the last time I saw WWRY Ricardo was brand new to the cast, and we went to stage door to get a couple of photos if possible - Ricardo walked out, followed by Mazz Murray, who practically leapt on the boy and proceeded to smooch him up against his very nice motorbike.
Now, it could have been just a little joke to shock a couple of fan-girls like me and my friend, who knows! AND it was a while ago. OR it could be common knowledge! hehe. In fact I'm quite curious as to what others think of this, my only interesting anecdote
Well, I hope to meet some nice new Wwry fans and have some fun talks here, speak to you soon!
DMK x
Welcome Becs!
With the Ricardo story - I can unfortunately break every female heart here and tell you that Ricardo is spoken for, he and Alicia Peacock (now ex-ensemble) have been together for some time I believe. Mazz can sometimes be a bit spontaneous, so that's probably where that came from!
I'm currently at the Dominion once a fortnight in general, so I can definitely identify with just jumping on a train, in fact one of my recent visits was actually booked on the platform on North station, the Liverpool Street train was late and I hadn't seen the show for a few weeks so it felt like a good idea
Anyway, hope you enjoy it here, it can be a bit dead at times so feel free to spread the word

Ah thanks Craig and Scara_mouche!
And yes its the advantage of the location that trips to london don't cost the earth (particularly with a student railcard) and can be arranged on a whim!
oooh I'm really getting excited about seeing it again now, looking forward to it!! x

Re: Introductions
Hello!
My name is Tom and I've been a fan of the show for a few years now, ever since being introduced to it by a friend after Ticketmaster screwed up the booking dates on some Wicked tickets. I liked it at first and thought I would go back if closing notices were posted, then decided to go back once more, then I was hooked. I've seen it (a small amount compared to others on this forum i assume?) 14 times. I'm a general lover of musicals and study technical theatre at college (just going into my second year). I've not seen the show for a couple of months now (been introducing myself to new stuff like Priscilla and Sister Act). I was one of those nutcases who saw "The Lord Of The Rings" 30 odd times in London. I'm also into POTO, Blue Man Group, Katherine Jenkins, Wicked and War Horse.
Would love to hear from anyone with tech info from the show...I've been after lighting plans and general set designs for a while, my college is planning to put on SWWY in our new theatre (which we are going to comission in a few weeks). It's going to be done exactly like the London Production (without the screens
, with moving projectors instead, which are like the moving head lighting units in the show, but with an internal projector) We are planning to build everything: the grave trap, Killer Queen table, collonades, Heartbreak Hotel (without the lifts alas) and all the other stuff! Possibly going get some Gobos made for our stock moving lights. The acting may prove a little bit more interesting....
