15th September 2009 - In Memoriam, Ian "The Uncle" Barker
It is with great sadness and regret that I share the news of the passing of Ian Barker, known to many fans of We Will Rock You as "The Uncle" on the official message forums.
Ian was a great fan of We Will Rock You and over the years has become a fixture at the Dominion, and a firm friend of cast, crew and fans alike.
He will be remembered for his unwavering loyalty to both We Will Rock You and theatre as a genre. He was a true gentleman, and will be greatly missed among the many friends he made within the show's fan-base.
I personally cannot express the sense of loss that the We Will Rock You community feels as a collective, and on behalf of We Will Rock You fans everywhere, I would like to send my condolences to his family, and my thanks to Ian for being one of the most genuine people you could meet.
Ian - You'll Never Walk Alone.
